Fullerton the CCCMBCA Consensus No. 1 Ranked Team

Fullerton, one of 10 remaining unbeaten programs, is the top-ranked team in the California Community Colleges Men’s Basketball Coaches Association Top 30 poll. The poll conducted by the coaches easily selected Fullerton as the top team after the Hornets edged San Francisco City, the defending state champions, at the College of the Sequoias Tournament earlier this month.

Despite losing to Fullerton in OT, San Francisco City wasn’t a censuses No. 2 as the Rams received votes from two to five in the coaches’ rankings. In the end, however, San Francisco City easily secured the No. 2 spot over undefeated West Valley. West Valley was followed by two other unbeaten programs in Riverside (6-0) and Cerritos (4-0). Sequoias landed at No. 6, followed by East Los Angeles, San Mateo, another undefeated program, San Diego City and Yuba, also undefeated.

Netx poll is scheduled for December 6.
